International Women’s day


waInternational Women’s day is celebrated on the 8th March every year. It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights. This year, the campaign theme is # Balance for Better. A balanced world is a better world. How can you help forge a more gender- balanced world? Celebrate women’s achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.

Here is a list of women who made us proud in 2018 by being true to their fearless and unapologetic nature:

Mithali Raj: Captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket team, became the cricketer with the most number of T20 runs

Priyanka Chopra: Singer, producer, UNICEF Ambassador and globally acclaimed actor, she featured in the Forbe’s list of the most powerful women for the second time.

Roshni Madar Malhotra: She is ranked 51st in Forbes list of most powerful women. She takes all strategic decisions for the USD 8.1 billion worth HCL enterprise.

Viji Penkottu: She is a 50 year old activist from Kozhikhode, is,known for her efforts to secure better worrking conditions for workers in unorganized sector. BBC gave her a spot in the list of Most influential abd inspiring women of 2018.

Hima Das: ” Dhing Express” Hima became an overnight sensation after winning the 400- metre final at the World U20 Championships.

Women in India have contributed to social change and awareness has been immense. On this Women’s Day, we salute to Women Power and give more power to Women.
